OKR Railway Bridge

Shortlisted submission for OKR Railway Bridge
public art commission

We collaborated with visual artist Yoni Alter and lighting designer Harish Persad, to design an artwork concept and lighting scheme along with a series of community engagement workshops for the Old Kent Road Railway Bridge, commissioned by Southwark Council.

Our artwork concept and lighting scheme was awarded a highly commended second place out of four shortlisted teams. The design proposed to deliver a bold and vibrant colour scheme to create a positive, uplifting feeling for people who see and walk under the railway bridge every day. We wanted to take the opportunity to inject colour, light and joy into the public realm in a way that better represents the local community, creating something that can inspire and that we can all be proud of, something that builds longevity into the Old Kent Road arts and culture strategy.
