We have developed an acute understanding of how public spaces are used through research and real-world engagement and how they can be improved through physical and behavioural change.

Who we are:

Founded by Matt Hopkins, Group 19 specialises in Architecture and Urban Design.

Before setting up Group 19, Matt gained his professional experience working on the design and delivery of award-winning streetscape improvement projects in Central London and Winchester. Matt is experienced in working with public and private sector clients and collaborating with other design disciplines and consultants including lighting designers, horticulturalists, transport engineers, heritage, sustainability and accessibility consultants and working with contractors and specialist fabricators throughout construction.

Group 19 works collaboratively with the furniture and product design company Norwegian Wood from a shared design studio and workshop based in West London and along the Waterways of the UK.
