Alperton Underground
Railway Bridge

Location: Alperton, West London

We have been appointed by Brent Council to create a new artwork for the Alperton Underground Railway Bridge across the Ealing Road and will be collaborating with Textile Designer, Sapna Patel, Artist, Anna Ferrie, Designer Charlotte Lord and Strategist Quyen Phan.

We are currently facilitating co-creation workshops inspired by the nearby canal and Ealing Road fashion and textiles, with two local schools in Alperton and the outcomes of these workshop will inform the artwork for the bridge. As part of our engagement programme we will also be hosting a Boat Trip with local stakeholders and residents, and exhibiting our work in progress for one week at the Canalside Gallery in Alperton.

On Saturday 8th November, the team would like to invite you aboard the Elsdale II floating classroom boat to show work in progress and to hear your thoughts about Alperton, the canal and what a new artwork on the bridge can bring to this community.

The boat will be moored near 243 Ealing Road from 11am where you are welcome aboard. There will be a short boat trip setting off at midday and returning at 1pm, the boat will then be open for another drop-in session until 2pm.
